SkinMusic  performed on all Mona Foma stages and performed roving during the three day festival. Plus launched an 8 track EP. SkinMusic: Sonja Hindrum working with Bacterial Cellulose, Karlin Love on the Greenwood horns and Bruce Innocent on percussion.

Connections . Falls Music and Art Festival.
Twenty tents (reclaimed tents that were damaged in a storm) all the ropes that came with the tents, plus 200 meters of rope, 10 meters of stainless steel rope and countless hours. This work was woven with techniques taught by the traditional land owners of Goolwa SA and inspired by the language they used when teaching.

Attended symposium – ticked funded by CXL (Creative Exchange Institute) for UTAS HDR students. 

The Cube, together with the Creative Industries Faculty, the Australian Research Centre in Additive Biomanufacturing, the Centre for Regenerative Medicine at the Institute for Health and Biomedical Innovation, in association with the UTAS Creative Exchange Institute hosted the one day symposium,

Dream Home - Castlemaine projection artists Jim Coad & Helen Kelly from Video Architecture explored the notion of home by engaging local community participants Jasper Da Seymour, Sonja Hindrum, Karen Revie, Kitty Taylor, Access Arts Link and nearly 1000 Launceston school children to bring Launceston’s public spaces back to life in an extravaganza of large scale video projections - Included works provided by Sonia Hindrum, Visual Vocations, run by Guaranteeing Futures North, grade ten students, North and Northeastern Tasmania

Professor Iain McCalman, Research Professor of History and Co-Director of the Sydney Environment Institute at the University of Sydney contacted me with the invitation to submit work to be part of ‘cabinet of curiosities’ that will form the website and ultimately a book to accompany an exhibition at the National Museum of Australia in 2018. Understanding Australia in the Age of Humans: Localising the Anthropocene
​

Some of her small textile sculptures exhibited in the Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery.
 
Invited to participate in the Rococo Revolution, Melbourne, as a designer and artist and exhibited pieces in the Women’s Gallery, Carlton.

Her fashion work has appeared in Vogue Australia, Australian Fashion Week,
 
Australian Gown of the Year (for which the works toured Australasia), the DuPont Awards and has graced the catwalks of numerous other fashion events.
 
Other costume work has been with Director Jeff Hockley on productions of The Mikado, Into the Woods and Amadeus and with Michelle Cripps on the production of Fiddler on the Roof.
